The Tag Of Four

Portrait of Fun, Meme

Beck has tagged me with the four word meme. I have to personally define them, and THEN I get to tag four more people with words of my own choosing.
Beck's words:

Callipygian: While studying biology this year I came across this term as some what of freakish species in nature. It's the cross between a caterpillar and pigeon. Now that's scary!

Cholera: What I do to my mom when my email is down. I "Cholera" on the phone.

Circumnavigate: To go climb over the yard fence because my four year old has locked me out.

Calliope: The female cousin to Guadalupe?

Now for the tag. [insert evil maniacal laugh] Katherine of Raising Five, Code Yellow Mom for that really hard kid Meme I'm still working on, Tricia because she tagged me last and [drumroll please] the Dark and Disorderly dude because he probably has no idea what a meme is!

Okay, radomly looking in the dictionary now because my brain is fried from homeschooling or maybe I'll stretch my homeschool vocabulary wings...

Silt:

Schwa:

Digraph:

Calendula:

and one for good luck...

innocuous:

Okay, this whole meme thing is new to me. I don't even know how to pronounce meme.

Silt: To cut. As in "I silt the sheets, the sheets I silt, upon the silted sheets I sit."

Schwa: One of the nation's largest financial services providers - Charles Schwa.

Digraph: to turn aside especially from the main subject of attention or course of argument. Did I mention I finally got a job? I'm very excited about it. But I digraph...

Calendula: the third Roman Emperor and a member of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, ruling from 37 to 41. Known for his extreme extravagance, eccentricity, depravity and cruelty, he is remembered as a despot. He was assassinated by several of his own guards.

Now I am frightened of the caterpillar-pigeon. I hope that it circumnavigates my house.
Great answers! I knew that you would be a lot of fun!

My whole post is at www.triciagoyer.blogspot.com, but here are my definations . . .

Gina’s words:

Silt: Silt is the nice soil in the garden that helps it grow. Of course, when it comes to writing, what helps my manuscript most is when I silt in my computer chair and work! (Silt: a mix of sitting and lounging.)

Schwa: This is an exclamation of excitement that comes over me when I meet a writing goal. (Schwa: a combination of swell and boo-ya!)

Digraph: This, of course, is how I plot the main points of my war novels. When I need to figure out who I’m going to off in what chapter, I create a digraph. (Digraph: hand drawn graph of the poor characters in Tricia’s book who weren’t lucky enough to get the leading role.)

Calendula: My new assistant, Amy, is my inspiration for this definition. Since I’ve volunteered with pregnant teens for many years, I know that a doula is a labor and delivery room goddess who is there to support the mom during birth. Because I have 101 things going at once, my manuscript “labor and delivery” can be overwhelming. My assistant, Amy, is my calendula. She supports me and encourages me while she also juggles my schedule.

and one for good luck...

innocuous: Since there is no immunization against the worry virus, God’s word helps me to be innocuous to bad reviews or poor sales. (Yes, I actually knew what this word meant!)
