We're Cooking Tonight!

Portrait of Family, Food

What do you get when you cross a freezer full of 1/3 of a cow ( we JUST got last week), two bags of Sam's unopened fish and SOMEONE who left the freezer in the garage open?

Some very creative dinners for a week! Plus, some leftovers for the neighbors.

What I've got going...

An Italian roast in the crock pot for tomorrow's dinner.

On roast in the frig to be cooked later on in the week.

Thawed t-bones for grilling tonight's dinner.

Mahi Mahi frying and some left over for grilling.

Some fish in the oven for a very creative fish casserole whenever?

Plain old fish on the stove for Chris' dinner (Good thing he loves fish!)

and the rest of the meat I refroze since they were defrosted in the frig!

Funny thing how the ground beef never defrosted!

Stay tuned for the result of the feast. If we actually like some of our concockted recipes, I'll be sure and post them.

BTDT! And we've lost an entire chest freezer of meat to flooding...thankfully our home is on high ground these days! Well, I'm all for mega-cooking, but it's nice to plan ahead a little, huh!?

I would panic if I had to make large menu decisions like that! I so do not like to plan menus. But your family will eat really well for a week!

I call it, inviting your friends over for dinner time.

That's how we got our last week's sunday meal. Friends had done the same thing and needed help eating it all up. So we got blessed anyway.

Say, where did you say you lived?
kidding.
